Wendee Lee

Wendee Lee is best known for voicing Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop and the title character in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. She has built one of the most recognized voices in English-language anime dubbing history.

Lee voices Lisa Lisa, Joseph Joestar's Hamon teacher and the leader of the Speedwagon Foundation's European branch, in the English dub of Battle Tendency. She also filled several smaller parts across the Stardust Crusaders dub, including a young version of Jotaro Kujo.

Beyond her onscreen performance as Lisa Lisa, Lee has otherwise worked on the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise primarily as a director on other titles, work that sits behind the scenes rather than in front of the microphone. That directing role sets her JoJo's Bizarre Adventure work apart from most of the English cast.

Wendee Lee also works as an ADR director in the anime dubbing industry, a behind-the-scenes role she has held alongside her voice performances. That dual career, acting and directing, sets her apart even among veteran dub actors.

Wendee Lee has been active in the English-language anime dubbing industry since the early 1980s. Her career spans more than four decades of both voice performance and behind-the-scenes production work.
