Appearance

Cropped blond hair and pale blue eyes mark Yurito's earlier look, worn together with the everyday attire issued to Konoha's forces. A serious injury inflicted by Sekiei changed his profile afterward, and he took to draping a wide swath of dark fabric across the right half of his head to conceal the ruined eye and ear left behind.

Warm and conscientious by nature, Yurito carries out his duties with genuine care and holds Shikamaru Nara in high regard. In combat he moves with real quickness and holds his own at close quarters, having once stood firm against a coordinated rush from both Metal Lee and Iwabee Yuino, two skilled hand-to-hand fighters.

History

Yurito staffed the records room of the Hokage Mansion and shared occasional conversation with Shikamaru. Following the operation that ended with Gengo apprehended in the Land of Silence, he handled the follow-up interviews and documentation. Later, after Shikamaru dealt with Boruto and Sarada as they hunted for the Seventh Hokage, Yurito greeted him back with a question about how the encounter had gone.

During the strike on the village linked to Mitsuki's vanishing, one of the attackers, Kirara, snared him in a genjutsu that turned him into an unwitting informant. Assigned to watch the room where Sakura examined Uō, he was sent off to carry a report to the Seventh Hokage, then slipped back and quietly pocketed a syringe. His attempt to poison a recovering guard failed because the target was Moegi Kazamatsuri in disguise. Exposed, he fled and ran into Team 5, where Udon Ise pierced his flimsy excuse. He grabbed Denki Kaminarimon as leverage, but the genin broke free using a flash bomb, and Udon, recognizing the genjutsu, worked to release him. As Yurito regained his wits, a lump of C1 explosive clay hidden in his flak jacket went off, gravely wounding him and sending him to the medical bay. Once he had recovered, though left with lasting damage, he came back to assist Shikamaru, relaying a message that arrived by Sasuke's hawk Takamaru. When odd claw marks turned up beyond the village, Shikamaru and Sai had him fetch Kawaki, who confirmed the marks belonged to Code, the last surviving Inner of Kara.
