Tasuku Hatanaka

Tasuku Hatanaka voices Denki Kaminari, one of the Class 1-A students at U.A. High School, in the Japanese version of My Hero Academia. Kaminari's electricity-based Quirk makes him a core member of the hero-in-training ensemble that the show follows.

Kaminari's Quirk, Electrification, lets him discharge electricity through his body, though overusing it short-circuits his own thinking. Hatanaka plays that running gag for both comic timing and genuine heart, a balance that defines much of the character's presence in the show.

Hatanaka has voiced Denki Kaminari since My Hero Academia's anime debut in 2016, making it one of the most visible roles of his career. That nearly decade-long run has kept him tied to the character across the show's many seasons.

Beyond voice work, Hatanaka is also active as an on-camera actor and singer, splitting his career between performing on screen and behind the microphone.
