iPhone Ringtone Setup

iOS 26 makes it easy - no GarageBand needed!

Step 1

Download the ringtone

Tap the download button on any ringtone. The MP3 file will save to your Files app.

Step 2

Open the Files app

Find the downloaded MP3 in your Downloads folder or iCloud Drive.

Step 3

Long press the file

Press and hold on the MP3 file until the menu appears, then tap Share.

Step 4

Select 'Use as Ringtone'

Choose 'Use as Ringtone' from the share menu. Your new ringtone is now available in Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone.

Using iOS 18 or earlier?

Older iOS versions require the GarageBand app to set custom ringtones. See Apple's official guide:
