Gameplay

Each of eight participants wears a modified HTC Vive headset, an MSI VR One backpack PC, and motion markers on the wrists, ankles and hips, letting an optical tracking system read their full-body movement across a twenty by twelve meter arena. Players run, duck and dodge through the space while firing arcade guns and using Ghost in the Shell abilities like optical camouflage and cyberbrain hacking against the opposing team.

Bandai Namco opened Stealth Hounds at VR Zone Shinjuku on December 9, 2017, after pushing the debut back several months during development. It was covered in gaming and VR press as one of the more ambitious location-based attractions of its time, pairing full-body optical tracking with a major anime license.
