Appearance
Little of Tsubusa's face can be seen, since a mask covers most of it, and his hair is black and cropped short. His gear is the regular Sunagakure outfit, complete with turban, flak jacket, and forehead protector, plus a metal guard fitted over his face.
History
Standing watch over Sunagakure's main gate during the Kazekage Rescue Mission, Tsubusa catches sight of Akatsuki's Sasori and Deidara moving toward the village and passes word to Yura, who dismisses the threat. Yura then betrays Tsubusa and his fellow sentries, cutting them down before a single alarm can be sounded. He holds the morbid distinction of being Part II's first casualty.
