Zangei keeps an easy, cordial rapport with his regular Kakuzu, dealing with him politely and squaring their transactions honestly. He does grumble that Kakuzu's partner Hidan eats into the profits, an opinion Kakuzu shares without argument. He also guards his clients' privacy, giving up nothing about Kakuzu or the Akatsuki even under pressure.
History
Kakuzu regularly used Zangei's station to unload the bounties he had killed, and Zangei paid out gladly, once handing over thirty million ryō for the monk Chiriku. Not long after that deal, Konohagakure captured Zangei and brought him in for questioning under Ibiki Morino. Throughout the interrogation he refused to surrender any details about the Akatsuki or Kakuzu.
