Appearance

The short's chibi-deformed art style makes him hard to pin down, but underneath it Tsubaki reads as a man of middling height with a gourd-shaped head and neatly combed white hair, set off by a small black mustache. His outfit mixes a yellow shirt under a blue suit with a purple tie, short pants striped in red and yellow, and squared-off violet sunglasses.

Personality

Tsubaki has a sharp, belittling streak, freely tearing into the Straw Hats even as he interviews them. For all his readiness to insult, he struggles to put his own genuine feelings into words.

History

In Report Time, Tsubaki questioned the crew about Sanji's cooking and the food they had eaten before. He singled out Luffy and Zoro for their dimwittedness, which left him at a loss for words, and remarked on Nami's scheming streak. When the interview wrapped, he sampled Sanji's cooking himself and found he could not put the taste into words at all, much to Sanji's irritation.
