Gameplay

According to KLab's own announcements and early press coverage, Golden Anthem is a 3D strategy card game built around paired Wit and Combat systems, where players assemble decks of characters that each carry active and passive abilities. Reported details mention around eighteen status effects that can boost damage or hinder an opponent's abilities, but full mechanics have not been confirmed through any public release or open beta, so this description should be treated as preliminary.

Premise

The game draws its cast and setting from the Golden Wind story arc, the same part of the manga and anime that follows Giorno Giovanna's rise within the criminal organization Passione, and its trailer is scored by Yugo Kanno, the composer behind recent JoJo anime seasons. Beyond that link to Golden Wind, KLab has not published a detailed story synopsis for the mobile game itself.

Release

KLab first announced a JoJo mobile game under the working title Golden Hymn back in December 2020, then went largely quiet until finalizing the Golden Anthem title and confirming closed beta testing in a January 2026 press release. KLab states the game, co-developed with Wanda Cinemas Games, is being planned for release outside Japan, but as of this writing no firm release date has been locked in, with different outlets reporting conflicting windows anywhere from mid to late 2026.
