True to her billing as the Automatic Doll, Karakuriko looks exactly like a toy figure. Her name draws on the Japanese word for something mechanical, the sort of wind-up doll her design is meant to evoke.

As a servant of the Dead Moon Circus, she simply carries out Tiger's Eye's orders, showing no real character of her own beyond a menacing, clockwork presence.

History
The trouble begins when Tiger's Eye probes Unazuki's dreams in his search for Pegasus and gets interrupted by Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon, prompting him to loose Karakuriko on the pair. The doll quickly boxes them in. In combat she comes apart on purpose, hurling her own detached limbs and spitting a blade from her mouth, and her head can rotate a full circle. When no trace of Pegasus turns up inside Unazuki's mirror, Tiger's Eye orders the Lemures to kill her, but Pegasus materializes first, lifting the two heroines into their Super Sailor forms and handing Sailor Moon the Moon Kaleido Scope. With it, Super Sailor Moon calls on Moon Gorgeous Meditation and wipes Karakuriko out.
