Arine is a highly ranked ghoul investigator whose combat record once measured up to that of the celebrated Kousuke Houji. His single appearance is a brief one, ending almost the moment he crosses paths with the Black Rabbit in the 7th ward.
Arine stands on the taller side, with short black hair and a notably long face. He wears a lengthy white jacket over a white shirt, finished with a tie patterned in black and white.
His lone, fleeting scene leaves little room to show his character, though in the field he displays the caution of a seasoned investigator, urging his partner to stay still rather than rush their opponent.
Well regarded within the CCG, Arine had earlier fought in the campaign against the Clowns, where his performance was said to match that of Kousuke Houji. His end comes while he patrols the 7th ward alongside his partner Niharu. The pair corner a winged ghoul, and Arine warns Niharu to hold back, but the creature cuts them both down in a single charge before either can strike. His severed head drops to the ground as the attacker is revealed to be the Black Rabbit. Investigators Amon and Akira later comb through the surveillance footage of the killings to push their own inquiry forward.
