Personality

Discretion defines him. He guards what he knows, offering nothing to the bounty hunters who come asking and shielding the corporation from scandal even when the facts point elsewhere. His instinct runs toward managing information rather than confronting it, a habit that ultimately leaves him exposed once a private conversation is overheard.

History

When a hacker drains funds from the Astral Gates, the Gate Corporation posts a reward on the thief. Privately, the executive and his aide already understand that Chessmaster Hex is the one responsible. A pair of hunters, among them Jonathan and Jet Black, press him for leads, yet he sends them away with nothing. Jet, unconvinced, slips a listening device into the office and catches the executive and his assistant speaking freely once the visitors have gone.

Jet returns later, having pieced the affair together. He warns the executive that the whole story will reach the public unless the company drops any move against Hex, forcing the man to back down. The events play out during Bohemian Rhapsody.
