Takeru Sengoku, married to Kozue and father to Kakeru, is a stern man in his mid-thirties who reads as a near mirror image of his own son. A former student council president, he carries a long-running rivalry with the Hori family into the present day.
Takeru bears a striking resemblance to Kakeru, right down to the red hair and red eyes, and he completes the look with a pair of oval-framed glasses.
A grave, no-nonsense demeanor defines Takeru, and although his expression usually reads as cross or displeased, his temper rarely translates into action, making his bark far worse than his bite. He echoes his son in countless ways, particularly in how he holds his face and body, and when he gets worked up he starts stressing odd syllables in his words.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
His wife, Kozue, generally defers to him, but the moment he speaks against her or crosses her she turns fierce and he promptly folds, leaving little doubt about who truly runs the household. Father and son are cut from the same cloth in both looks and temperament, and the two even meet up inside the same online game to chat. Takeru raised Kakeru to distrust the Hori family from an early age, and while he occasionally tries to scold his son, the effort seldom amounts to more than shouting, at which point Kakeru simply retreats to his room.
Toward Kyōsuke Hori he keeps up a pose of enmity, branding him an enemy or, on his better days, a lackluster friend, a stance rooted in the time they spent together through the student council and Kyōsuke's ties to Yuriko Koyanagi. Their clashing natures, Kyōsuke frank and gregarious against Takeru's guarded seriousness, put them at odds, yet privately Takeru counts the man a friend he would never acknowledge aloud, and he still drops by the Hori home for dinner now and then. His rapport with Yuriko mirrors the ambiguous closeness between Kakeru and Kyōko, which he summed up as neither liking nor disliking her. Back in his own school days, Takeru served as student council president.
