Awakened Cockroach

Roughly human in shape, this monster is plated in a dark carapace and stares out through a human face. Six arms branch from his torso, and a pair of lengthy antennae trail back from his head.

Supremely sure of his own quickness, Awakened Cockroach makes heroes his preferred prey rather than ordinary people. His method is to cripple an opponent and leave the killing blow to fellow monsters, and he tends to amuse himself while trading strikes. That same arrogance follows him to his end. After losing to Genos, he is impaled and consumed by Orochi at a Monster Association gathering, begging the watching monsters for rescue that never comes.

Speed defines him. He outpaces Genos even after the cyborg's G4 upgrades, scattering afterimages of himself as he darts about, and his footwork slips outside an enemy's line of sight so cleanly that Genos's sensors cannot lock onto him. His blows carry enough force to dent that same armor. True to his namesake, the extra arms give him an edge up close, and he can keep functioning after losing vital parts, fleeing Genos even after severing both feet to escape a trap. He brags of a sixth sense that reads killing intent and dodges on instinct, insisting nothing could touch him even at light speed, though Orochi's horn proves the boast hollow.
