In his human days Rosie cut a sharp figure: a young man with pale eyes and grey hair swept to the left over a shaved undercut, dressed in a blue suit, a white shirt, and a red tie patterned with diamonds. Consuming the Monster Cells reshaped him into something bulkier and more muscular, with strange growths jutting from his back.

Ambition defined Rosie, who dreamed of reinventing martial arts through psychology and reason. Beneath that drive sat a coward, though, one ready to throw away his own art and even his humanity to stay alive, which is why he lunged for the Monster Cell ahead of everyone else. Once transformed he turned cruel and vindictive, seizing the chance to batter a badly hurt Dave in payback for beating him earlier.

Rosie entered the Super Fight tournament at the C-City stadium for the first time, and watching Suiryu crush Max left him shaken by the fighter's power. His own run ended fast when Dave overwhelmed him. As he was carried off for treatment, the Three Crows seized him and hauled him back to the arena alongside Dave and Bazuzu, where Gouketsu laid out a grim choice: eat a Monster Cell and join the Monster Association or be killed. Rosie took the offer first. Newly monstrous, he flung the wounded Dave far into the air to settle their score, but his triumph lasted only seconds before Choze broke his neck. Even as a monster his gains were modest; his strength let him toss the heavy Dave one-handed and his human body had once endured being slammed into the arena floor, yet a human Choze put him down with ease. His signature style, meant to read and exploit an enemy's mind, never even got a chance against Dave's blunt, crushing approach.
