Azusa runs Pub Azusa, where her daughter Hotaru waits tables. A brain tumor and a mother's dread for her child's future once drove this gentle, blind barkeep to plot a murder-suicide with Korosensei as her target.
A handsome woman past her youth, Azusa wears her pale hair pulled back into a ponytail with strands hanging along each side of her face. Blindness keeps her eyes shut, and a small mole sits on the skin beneath her left one. Her usual outfit is a long-sleeved top over a pale skirt, worn with a black apron while she serves customers. Once surgery removes her tumor, her reopened eyes turn out to be dark, much like Hotaru's.
When her thoughts drift toward killing, a distinct bloodlust rises in her look, a trait Korosensei found reminiscent of Nagisa Shiota.
By nature Azusa is warm and unassuming. After the tumor set in, however, she quietly fixed on a single aim: securing Hotaru's survival and livelihood. That resolve hardened into a carefully worked-out plan to end her own life together with Korosensei's, so that the bounty on him would pass to her daughter. When Korosensei foiled the attempt and, along the way, treated the tumor itself, she promised instead to live life to the fullest at Hotaru's side.
As Hotaru's mother, Azusa loves her fiercely. Her brain tumor left her terrified that her death would strand the girl in poverty, and rather than accept that outcome she engineered a scheme to die alongside Korosensei and hand Hotaru the reward money. The plan came apart when Korosensei rescued her and removed the tumor, making her, in fact, the very first person he mended through the 'polishing' he offered in exchange for attempts on his life.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Azusa owns Pub Azusa, a bar where her daughter Hotaru works as a waitress, and she once plotted a murder-suicide against Korosensei out of desperation over her declining health.
A brain tumor left Azusa afraid she would die and leave her daughter Hotaru in poverty, so she planned to die alongside Korosensei so the bounty on his head would pass to Hotaru.
Korosensei stopped Azusa's plan and removed her brain tumor in the process, making her the first person he healed through the polishing he offers to anyone who attempts his life.
Yes, Azusa is blind, with her eyes kept shut through most of the story. After Korosensei's surgery removes her tumor, her reopened eyes are shown to be dark, much like her daughter Hotaru's.
Hotaru is Azusa's daughter, who waits tables at Pub Azusa. Azusa's fierce love for Hotaru is what drove her entire murder-suicide scheme against Korosensei.
