Hideki Mizuguchi

Hideki has narrow eyes set with small pupils and keeps his black hair short, the top swept back, a look he reportedly spends two hours arranging each day. In line with the rest of his class, his uniform pairs black trousers with a patterned shirt worn under a black jacket.

Hideki bristles at taking orders from anyone he reads as physically weaker than himself. That stance is not stubbornness for its own sake, however; he will back down once he is genuinely outmatched, as he does the moment he meets Nagisa Shiota.

When his classmates mock Nagisa, Hideki rises to warn the new teacher against giving them orders, threatening his life. Nagisa answers with a Stun Clap, slips around him, and pins him in place with a single finger pressed to his neck. Stunned by how fast he is subdued, Hideki hears Nagisa calmly wish him luck as the lesson begins. Later, outside, he snaps at a napping Nagisa for dozing off, grumbling that the class only came outdoors because their teacher wanted to study there.
