Kevin

Broad and thickly built, Kevin stands out as a physically imposing teen. He keeps his blond hair long and tousled, and a beard is just starting to come in along his jaw. His eyes are a clear blue.

Self-assured about both his abilities and his opinions, Kevin fits the mold of the archetypal jock, jeering at the pole-toppling squad from Class E. Underneath the bravado, though, runs a loyal streak: he speaks up for Gakushu's capacity to lead when Principal Asano questions it.

Kevin first appears during the bo-taoshi pole-toppling contest pitting Class 3-E against Class A. When the whistle blows, Gakushu sends him and the other exchange players charging headlong at the E-class line, and Kevin reportedly shoves Yoshida and Muramatsu clear of the field. As he lunges again, however, the E-class students vault clear of his dive and trap him under the pole, holding him to the dirt. The match then stalls because Gakushu stops issuing commands, leaving his players motionless, a lull Takebayashi openly criticizes.

Class 3-E takes the win, and the four foreign students are called into the principal's office beside Gakushu. There Kevin argues on Gakushu's behalf after Gakuho belittles the boy's command, which goads the principal into daring the exchange students to fight him outright. Gakuho crushes them, leaving the group wounded and bloodied while he sermonizes about what loss can teach, all as Gakushu looks on aghast.
