End of Term Time

Korosensei prepares the class for finals with a sharper incentive than simply cracking the top fifty: whoever finishes first in any subject earns the right to shoot off one of his tentacles, each severed limb cutting his speed by a tenth and inching the students closer to a kill. Shindo warns Sugino that returning to the main campus, and easing their assassination, means beating the Big Five of Class A under the charismatic Gakushu Asano, the chairman's only son.

Gakushu rallies his class while pursuing his own aim: uncovering the truth about Class E's strange teacher to blackmail his father. The chairman, meanwhile, assures Karasuma and Irina that he will use no cheap tricks this time.

A study session in the main library turns tense when the Big Five, minus Gakushu, corner Isogai's group and, spotting their high mid-term ranks, rashly wager that the winners may order the losers around. When one boasts they would stake their lives, Nagisa, Kanzaki, and Nakamura calmly level pencil tips at their throats and eyes, warning them not to offer their lives so lightly. Gakushu turns the deal into a signed contract loaded with clauses, one requiring Class E to answer any question truthfully, his lever for the blackmail.

Both classes cram as the school's writers craft brutal exams. On the morning of the English test, Karasuma explains that Ritsu could not participate and a proxy fills her seat, then wishes the students luck as finals begin.

The episode adapts Chapters 50 through 52 and marks the debut of Gakushu Asano along with the formal introduction of the rest of the Big Five. It first aired in Japan on May 1, 2015.
