Dissidence Movement arc

The Dissidence Movement arc is the fourth story arc of Attack on Titan: Before the Fall, the prequel manga, spanning chapters 21 through 32 across volumes 7 to 9. It follows an uprising brewing inside the Industrial City as Xavi Inocencio infiltrates the movement behind it.

In the Dissidence Movement arc, Xavi Inocencio works his way inside the Industrial City's uprising while its leader, known as August, counts down the days before a planned revolt. Meanwhile, Kuklo and Cardina test the vertical maneuvering device and try to reach Xenophon and Sharle, who do not realize the city has closed around them.

The Dissidence Movement arc was serialized from July 25, 2015 to June 25, 2016, and its twelve chapters were collected in volumes 7 through 9 of Attack on Titan: Before the Fall.

The Dissidence Movement arc follows the Visit to the Industrial City arc and leads into the Underground City arc within Attack on Titan: Before the Fall. It holds the fourth position in the prequel series' story arc order.

The Dissidence Movement arc's chapters run from Den of Treachery through Caged Ball, with titles including Rondo of Darkness, Before the Storm, The Fires of Upheaval, and Blades of Karma. These chapters trace the slide toward open rebellion in the Industrial City.
