Female Titan

Whoever holds this power, the resulting giant takes on a feminine shape; the inheritor's biological sex has no bearing on the form. It stands 14 meters tall, and Marleyan analysts classify it as an all-purpose unit, strong in every category rather than specialized in one.

Consuming pieces of the other Nine Titans lets the Female copy their traits with unusual ease, a quality that made Annie Leonhart a favorite subject for Marley's experiments. Its signature trick is a scream that draws Pure Titans to its position, the same lure that flooded Wall Maria with giants when the district fell. The lure cuts both ways: once the summoned Titans arrive, they swarm the Female and devour its body. A skilled user can turn even that into an escape, slipping away on vertical maneuvering equipment while steam pouring from the wounds hides the getaway.

Hardened skin rounds out the arsenal. The Female can crystallize patches of its hide until ultrahard steel blades shatter against it, and a hardened punch can tear the limbs or head off another Titan. Annie also seals herself inside a crystal cocoon with this technique after leaving the nape. On top of that, the form boasts remarkable stamina; Annie once ran it from near the Paradis coastline all the way to the Walls, though the effort left her bedridden for hours afterward.

Like its eight siblings, the Female Titan splinters from the power of Ymir Fritz upon her death, then spends seventeen centuries passing between the feuding Eldian houses. When the 145th king, Karl Fritz, withdraws to Paradis Island, the Great Titan War hands the Female to Marley. Annie Leonhart is chosen for the power around the year 843 and fields it in one of Marley's wars before joining the Paradis Island Operation of 845 alongside Reiner, Bertolt, and Marcel. Her scream supplies the horde that pours through fallen Wall Maria.

Five years later Annie unleashes the Female against the 57th Expedition, hunting Eren Yeager. Erwin Smith snares it in a Titan Forest using the special target restraining weapon, but Annie summons Pure Titans to eat her way free, slaughters Squad Levi, and briefly carries Eren off before Mikasa and Levi cut him loose. Cornered days later in Stohess District, she transforms one final time, loses a duel that damages part of Wall Sheena, and encases herself in crystal to escape interrogation. The Female then sits dormant for four years, its return so absent that Zeke wonders whether the power was stolen, until Eren's mastery of the Founding Titan dissolves all hardening and frees Annie.

She then fights beside the alliance, shielding the Azumabito engineers from Thunder Spears at the harbor at the cost of the Titan's arms and head, and pulling Armin from an okapi-headed captor during the Battle of Heaven and Earth. At Fort Salta her Titan joins the effort to hold back the source of all living matter while her own father transforms in the gas. When Eren dies, the Female Titan vanishes along with every other Titan power.
