Henning Iglehaut

Henning is a tall figure with a short beard and wavy brown hair worn at medium length. Spectacles rest on his nose, and he dresses in light clothing wrapped with sashes.

Beneath the respectable trade sits an unshakable conviction. Over the years Henning quietly supplies lethal doses to sixteen residents of Quinta, men and women alike, who wished to end their lives, and even facing execution he voices no remorse, insisting that anyone desperate enough deserves a way out.

Before Wall Maria falls, Henning runs an apothecary in Quinta District on the territory's western edge and trades regularly with the merchant Kramer family, traveling to Fuerth District in Wall Rose; on one such trip he brings his daughter along and introduces her to Mathias Kramer. That daughter, Rita, is adopted: her mother died beyond the Walls serving with the Survey Corps, and her father took his own life using poison Henning himself had provided.

After Quinta is cut off, Rita rises to interim commander of the district's Garrison and rules that her father must answer for his hidden business. Alongside other criminals of the district, Henning is given to a Titan the Garrison captured in the months after Wall Maria's fall, admitting his deeds without apology before he dies.
