Lara Tybur

In human form Lara carries herself like the noblewoman she is, taller than most, with dark eyes and small, gaunt facial features. Her dark, gently waving hair sits gathered in a bun behind her head, and she dresses in a black and white gown with billowing sleeves and a collar of white embroidery.

Her Titan cuts a very different figure: a muscular, masculine body roughly fifteen meters tall, its head sheathed in a cowl-like outer layer of skin that hides the ears and leaves only the eyes, mouth, and jaw showing through a segmented mesh. The form wields an enormous hammer of hardened Titan flesh nearly twice its own height.

The story grants Lara only brief moments of characterization, yet they suggest she fully embraces her brother's radical stance on Paradis and the Eldian question. She accepts a scheme that spends Willy's life, along with countless Liberio civilians, to lure Eren Yeager into the open. When her brother dies before her eyes, she keeps her composure, honoring his sacrifice in a few quiet words before transforming to finish what he started.

Lara inherits the War Hammer Titan at some point in the thirteen years before the Liberio festival, a succession the Tybur family keeps hidden even as she passes her predecessors' memories on to Willy. Her signature gift is structural hardening: she conjures weapons, traps, and towering pikes out of hardened Titan flesh at will, from ground spikes subtle enough to escape another shifter's notice to shafts capable of skewering the Attack Titan high off the ground. She uses the same power to build a crossbow mid-battle and to seal her human body inside a crystal casing while staying fully conscious.

Her most unusual trick is remote operation. From within the crystal she pilots a Titan body tethered to her by a lengthy cord of flesh, generating the form from the feet upward rather than outward from the nape, which lets her regenerate endlessly without exposing her real self and sidesteps the weakness that dooms most shifters. Her healing is formidable in its own right; after absorbing a sustained beating from Eren's hardened fists, she rebuilds her Titan's lost limbs within minutes.

Stamina is her one glaring limit. A single complete transformation and one partial reconstruction drain her entirely during the Liberio battle, leaving her unable to punch through Eren's hardened guard. Thunder Spears fail to crack her crystal and the Attack Titan breaks its teeth on it, but Eren finally wedges the casing between the Jaw Titan's teeth and crushes it, killing Lara and drinking her remains to take the War Hammer for himself. During the Rumbling, Ymir Fritz later recreates her Titan among the horde defending Eren.
