History
Braun rides with the Survey Corps on an expedition beyond the Walls. His squad encircles a target Titan on horseback, then switches to vertical maneuvering equipment to make the kill; the attempt costs Braun his life. When the battered column returns through Shiganshina District, his mother presses forward asking after her son, and Commander Keith Shadis can only give her a wrapped bundle containing Braun's arm, the sole piece of him recovered. Whether his family has any tie to the Braun line that later produces Reiner Braun is never established.
