Fatigue lives on Mrs. Yeager's face, etched into faint wrinkles beneath her eyes and beside her mouth. Both her unkempt hair and her eyes are dark. Around the house she ties an apron over a light button-up shirt; whenever she goes out, the armband required of every Eldian goes on.
Personality
Her children's safety dominates her thoughts, and her firmest rule, that Grisha must never go past the walls, flows from that constant worry. Faye's death shatters her. Sorrow overwhelms her so completely that she weeps without managing a single word, and the busy household energy that once defined her drains away.

History
She first appears cautioning Faye and Grisha to be careful, telling her son plainly that the walls are off limits. When an officer arrives to explain how Faye died, grief consumes her. Tragedy returns in the year 832: the Public Security Authorities arrest Grisha, and Mrs. Yeager wails at her husband's side as her son is taken. The couple's inconspicuous life apparently spares them, and they live long enough to bring up their young grandson Zeke after he turns his own parents over to the authorities, watching him rise to high rank as a soldier. In 854, twenty years on from that arrest, the elderly pair welcome Zeke home after the Marley Mid-East War reaches its conclusion.
