I'm Home, the 27th episode of Attack on Titan, belongs to Sasha Braus. While the Scouts escort a silent priest toward the crisis in Wall Rose, Sasha faces a Titan armed with nothing but an ax, a bow, and her hunter's nerve, and Conny rides home to a ruin with an impossible Titan sprawled across his house.
News of Wall Rose's apparent breach reaches Trost, and the Scout Regiment rides out from Stohess by night toward Ehrmich District, bringing Pastor Nick along in hopes the sight of the catastrophe will loosen his tongue. On the road, Armin chews on the puzzle of the Wall Titans: Shiganshina fell through its gate, never its Wall, and Annie's crystal hardening suggests the Walls themselves may be built from the same Titan power. Hange resists Levi's suggestion of beating answers out of Nick, doubting violence will move a man who values his secret over humanity's survival.
The heart of the episode follows Sasha, dispatched earlier to warn her home region of Dauper. Riding, she remembers arguing with her father three years back: she blamed Wall Maria's refugees for emptying their hunting grounds, while he countered that fields feed more mouths than hunting ever could and floated giving up their old life for horse breeding. He let her keep her stubbornness but warned her about where selfishness leads. Now, following Titan footprints, Sasha finds an unfamiliar village where a small Titan is gnawing the legs off a crippled woman as her daughter watches, frozen. Sasha's ax fails against the nape and slips from her grip, so she grabs the girl and runs. When her horse bolts, she sends the child down the main road alone and turns to face the pursuing Titan with a bow and four arrows. Two find its eyes, the last one driven in by hand at point-blank range, and the blinded Titan's slick, bloody grip lets her wriggle free. Down the road she finds the girl safe among mounted villagers led by her own father, who has heard of the fight and tells her he is proud. For the first time in years, Sasha feels she has come home.
Elsewhere in Wall Rose, Conny reaches his village of Ragako ahead of his team and finds it demolished with no bodies and no survivors. On the wreck of his family's house lies a Titan on its back, and when Gelgar inspects it he notes its limbs are far too stunted to have carried it anywhere, leaving the Scouts to wonder how it got there.
The Scout Regiment departs Stohess for Ehrmich with Pastor Nick in tow, and Armin theorizes that the Walls were formed with a hardening power like Annie's, meaning Titans have been shielding humanity all along.
Flashbacks establish Sasha's strained bond with her father and her shame over her village dialect, once called out by Ymir during cadet training.
Sasha rescues a girl, Kaya, from a small Titan, blinding it with arrows when no killing blow is possible, and reunites with her father, whose praise finally reconciles her with her roots.
Conny finds Ragako destroyed and a Titan with useless, undersized limbs lying atop his family home, a mystery that foreshadows the truth about the Wall Rose invasion.
The episode adapts material from the chapters Soldiers Dance, I'm Home, and Southwestward. It premiered in Japan on April 8, 2017 and in English on April 30, 2017, directed by Yoshihide Ibata and written by Yasuko Kobayashi, with production by Wit Studio and Production I.G.
Yū Kobayashi and Ashly Burch voice Sasha in Japanese and English. The knowledge segment describes the farming villages scattered inside the Walls, which supply the gate cities with food and goods while holding most of the population.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

Unable to land a killing blow with her ax, Sasha Braus fires arrows into the Titan's eyes and finishes blinding it by hand at close range, then slips free of its grip and carries Kaya to safety.
Armin theorizes that the Walls themselves may be built from the same Titan hardening power that Annie Leonhart used to encase herself in crystal, suggesting Titans have been protecting humanity from within the Walls all along.
