Gameplay

Players design their own cadet who trains alongside Eren, Mikasa and the 104th Corps, then take that character through missions playable solo or in online co-op. Combat keeps the momentum based maneuver gear grappling of the first game while adding Daily Life segments where the created character builds friendship with named characters back at base.

Story

The main campaign adapts roughly the manga's first 50 chapters, spanning the anime's first two seasons and closing on an original, non-canon epilogue. The separately sold Final Battle expansion later extends the story through chapter 90, folding in the anime's third season.
