Grelle has built a career largely around lead roles in harem and slice-of-life anime, voicing Issei Hyodo in High School DxD, Yuki Amano in The Future Diary, and Futaro Uesugi in The Quintessential Quintuplets. Other major credits include Nobuchika Ginoza in Psycho-Pass, Fumikage Tokoyami in My Hero Academia, Byakuya Togami across the Danganronpa franchise, and figure skater Yuri Katsuki in Yuri on Ice.

Grelle voices Armin Arlert in the English dub of Attack on Titan, the strategic mind of the story's central trio alongside Eren and Mikasa.
