Conrad

Conrad presents as a hairless figure whose face stays locked in almost total stillness. His mouth never moves and his eyes rarely open, lending him an unreadable, statue-like presence. His features draw heavily on H.R. Giger's painting Landscape XVIII.

Of all the God Hand, Conrad says the least, content to observe rather than steer. When he does break his silence, it is usually to explain the workings of their world, such as how corruption takes hold in a person who chooses to sacrifice. That reserve marks him apart from his more talkative peers.

As a God Hand, Conrad reads the currents of causality, letting him foresee nearly every outcome and nudge events toward a chosen one, though his sight stops just short of true omniscience. His power of transmutation raised the mound that lifted Griffith above the doomed Band of the Falcon during the Eclipse, then reshaped it into the form of a hand to serve as the rebirth altar.

He can also reach into the physical realm without a proper body, working through swarms of rats. By that means he spread a plague across Midland and herded refugees toward Albion ahead of the Incarnation Ceremony, later molding a crude form from the malice gathered there. Ranked as sovereign of demonkind, he resurfaces long after Griffith's rebirth, joining the other God Hand to mock Falconia as little more than a gilded cage before departing.
