Enoch Village Priest

The manga describes the man chiefly by his office, a priest of Enoch Village standing as its religious authority. Little else about his look is recorded.

He begins as a doubter, unconvinced that outsiders can drive off the trolls besieging his village, and firmly anchored in Holy See teaching. Watching Schierke's sorcery unsettles that certainty. What he presents to his congregation as simple religious tolerance is, within himself, a quiet turn toward the magical outlook she reveals to him.

When Morgan brings the Black Swordsman Party and the young witch Schierke back to Enoch Village, the priest openly doubts they can handle the troll threat. Once the creatures pour in, he takes shelter atop the village church and looks on in wonder as Schierke summons the Four Kings of the World and the Lady of the Depths. She tells him those Four Kings are the very guardian angels his own faith honors, merely called by other names.

After the village is freed, he grants the villagers their wish to raise a shrine in honor of the Lady of the Depths, a gesture that reads as tolerance to the faithful even as it marks his own deeper change of heart.
