Zepek

Zepek is the drunken, abusive father of Jill, introduced during the Conviction arc. A former soldier turned bitter townsman, his most consequential act is wounding Guts with an arrow at a critical moment in his fight against the apostle Rosine.

Zepek is a brutish alcoholic whose temper falls hardest on his own household. He strikes his daughter Jill whenever she objects to his behavior, insisting she has no right to complain since he fought to keep her and her mother safe.

During the Conviction arc, Zepek loosed an arrow that struck Guts just as the swordsman was poised to finish off the apostle Rosine, interrupting the decisive blow.

Before the events of the Conviction arc, Zepek was a soldier in Midland's military. After returning from service, he settled into village life with his wife and daughter Jill, but became a domineering, heavy-drinking presence in the household.

Zepek's family consists of his daughter Jill and an unnamed wife, both of whom suffer his abusive temper. He lives with them as an aging commoner in the village after retiring from military service.
