Throwing Knife

These slim blades were Judeau's signature tool, and he eventually schooled Guts in their handling. Rita likewise relies on them during the game Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage. Guts is the first character shown throwing them, though within the story's timeline Judeau uses them earlier.

Each knife is compact and shaped like a fin, its triangular body tapering through curved edges to a sharp tip that recalls an arrowhead. A thin ridge runs along the center of the small grip. Judeau kept his tucked into leg straps before moving them to a band worn across the chest, a setup Guts later copied.

Because the blades are too slight to reliably kill on their own, they must strike vital spots and depend heavily on the thrower's aim. Guts reached for them mainly when a quiet approach mattered, and he switched to the Repeater Crossbow whenever precision and ammunition were less of a concern.

Judeau demonstrated the weapon's lethality by dropping two sentries with throat shots during the operation to free Griffith. Guts felled a pair of soldiers outside the Count's chambers, but the knives barely dented the apostle's yielding flesh, and Rosine simply batted them away with her proboscis. As Guts accumulated Miniature Bombs and the crossbow, his reliance faded, and the knives vanished entirely once he donned the Berserker Armor. They resurface during his training at Elfhelm, where a botched throw at a hanging fruit reveals how the armor dulls his senses.
