Appearance

Where most Arrancar wear a jacket, Abirama goes bare-chested, showing off the red estigma markings scrawled across his torso. Long black hair falls behind him, and what remains of his Hollow mask forms a beaked helmet over his brow. White wrist sleeves, a white hakama and breechcloth, and a black sash make up the rest, and his eyes are a dark gold.

Personality

Violent, brash, and short on patience, Abirama opens every fight with a ritual, bellowing everything he means to do to his foe and demanding they answer in kind; anyone who refuses earns his irritation. He holds Baraggan in worshipful regard, addressing him as his majesty, and shows so little restraint that he releases his sword before landing even one ordinary strike.

History

Abirama descended on the counterfeit Karakura Town alongside Baraggan and the rest of his Fraccion to face the Gotei 13. Once the four pillars anchoring the real town within Soul Society were discovered, Baraggan dispatched each of his servants to shatter one, scorning the Shinigami guards as ants to be crushed by dragons. Abirama drew Izuru Kira as his opponent. After screaming his way through his pre-battle ritual and trading insults, he was pleased when Izuru sliced his cheek and finally wore a fighting face.

He released Aguila and rose as a red-feathered eagle, wings beating at tremendous speed. His Devorar Pluma rained down feathers heavy and hard as steel, tearing through buildings as Izuru dodged, and by cutting the tattoos on his chest he split his wings into a second pair for greater agility. The advantage proved an illusion. Every time Abirama struck at him, Izuru's blade Wabisuke doubled the weight of whatever it touched, and after four blows his wings had grown sixteen times heavier and dragged him to the ground. Denouncing the tactic as unworthy of a warrior, he begged for a pause; Izuru answered that warriors do not beg and took his head.
