Cero

Cero is a powerful ranged blast built from concentrated spiritual energy, wielded by Menos, Arrancar, and Visored alike. It ranks among the most recognizable Hollow techniques and turns up in a range of personalized forms.

The user gathers spiritual energy and releases it as a forceful beam, most often from the mouth, though some Arrancar and Visored fire it from their hands, fingers, or elsewhere on the body. Doing so usually calls for a set stance, with Coyote Starrk the lone known exception. How strong, fast, and wide the blast becomes scales with the caster's own power and skill, and charge times differ widely, from a slow build to an almost instant discharge. Most Cero glow red or crimson, but various Arrancar produce other colors, and many have devised their own distinct variations.

Menos, Arrancar, and Visored form the technique's core users, from Choe Neng Poww's green blast to Coyote Starrk, who fires without any pose. Other media expand on it: the films show elemental Cero from an empowered Yin and Yang in The DiamondDust Rebellion and a colossal Cero Gigante in The Hell Verse, while Ichigo's fully Hollowfied form and Aizen's Fragor display Cero-like power.
