Aaroniero Arruruerie is the Noveno Espada in Sōsuke Aizen's army, embodying the death aspect of Greed. Uniquely the only lowly Gillian to sit among the Espada, he is really a pair of tiny Hollow heads afloat in a tank, devouring others to evolve without limit.
Most of the time Aaroniero keeps his face behind a long white mask pierced by eight holes, both to endure sunlight and to spare himself the stares of fellow Espada. Underneath sits no ordinary head but a tall glass cylinder brimming with red fluid, inside which two small Hollow heads drift, each marked with the number nine; the upper one rumbles in a low voice while the lower pipes up childishly. His garb departs from the usual Espada cut, a full-length robe worn beneath a frilled aristocrat's coat with a single white glove, and his Hollow hole rests in his left thigh.
Aaroniero takes real pride in his boundless capacity to evolve and in holding an Espada seat despite his humble origins. Cruel and fond of toying with prey, he mines the memories of those he has swallowed to torment them, most notably pressing Rukia Kuchiki to cut down her own friends. His twin heads carry separate personalities and often trade lines as though two people were talking, referring to themselves in the plural whenever the tank is exposed, yet oddly he drops that habit once transformed.
Long ago this spirit rose from a Gillian, the feeblest tier of Menos, and became the last of the original Espada. He seized the powers of the late Shinigami lieutenant Kaien Shiba by consuming Metastacia, the Hollow that had killed and fused with Kaien, gaining both that Hollow's merging trait and Kaien's blade. His stockpiled energy lets him mirror Kaien's strength, and he fights as a capable swordsman using Kaien's dance-like spear form, backed by Sonído and raw physical force enough to break a binding Kidō apart with his hands.
His Zanpakutō, Glotonería, appears as a tentacled maw tucked beneath his glove. Its gift is Hollow Absorption: by eating a dead Hollow he claims all of its powers and Reiatsu, a feat he boasts of having done to roughly thirty-three thousand of them. While sealed it lets him perfectly wear a single absorbed being's form, memories, and skills, among them Metastacia's spirit-body fusion and Zanpakutō-shattering touch, Kaien's sword Nejibana, and a knack for broadcasting whatever he sees to his allies. Released with the call Devour, his lower half balloons into a bloated, tentacled purple mass, and he can channel the might of every Hollow he ever ate. Sunlight is his undoing, cancelling his disguises, and a single crack of his tank means death, which is exactly how Rukia ends him after spearing his head with San no mai, Shirafune.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
Aaroniero Arruruerie is the Noveno (9th) Espada in Sosuke Aizen's army, embodying the aspect of Greed. He is unique among the Espada for having originated as a lowly Gillian, the weakest tier of Menos.
No, Aaroniero is not actually Kaien Shiba. He absorbed Kaien's powers and sword-fighting style after consuming Metastacia, the Hollow that had killed and fused with Kaien, which lets Aaroniero wear Kaien's form and memories.
Rukia Kuchiki defeats Aaroniero, ending him by piercing his glass tank-like head with her Zanpakuto technique San no mai, Shirafune.
Aaroniero's signature ability is Hollow Absorption, granted by his Zanpakuto Glotoneria. By devouring a dead Hollow he claims all of its powers and Reiatsu, something he claims to have done to roughly thirty-three thousand Hollows.
Beneath his masked head, Aaroniero's true form is a tall glass cylinder brimming with red fluid, inside which two small Hollow heads drift, each marked with the number nine, one rumbling in a low voice and the other piping up childishly.
