History

While the twins were still young, the Hollow openly declared he would devour them, only to be chased off by Seigen Suzunami, Sōsuke Aizen, and Kisuke Urahara. His spiritual power was formidable enough to survive that encounter. Years later he sensed the same energy resurface, now belonging to full Soul Reapers, and reasoned their growth would make them a richer meal. Various Gotei 13 members repeatedly repelled him, aided by his knack for draining a nearby foe's Reiatsu to refuel himself and a whipping attack in which he spun his head to lash enemies with his hair. His hunt finally ended when Fujimaru and Matsuri learned what their Zanpakutō were called and struck him down together.
