Muramasa turned the strands on several foes over the course of his rebellion. He held Haineko back with them, tied up Ichigo Kurosaki more than once, and set them against Zangetsu in a contest of strength. He also put them to use as a garrote, wringing the life out of Yasutora Sado after catching him in their grip.
