Tenken

Tenken takes shape as a towering, crimson-skinned figure whose spiky hair is bright blue, crowned by an ornate golden headpiece. Thick blue brows melt into his sideburns, his eyes blaze with yellow light, and fire flickers endlessly within his mouth. A heavy segmented shawl drapes his neck and shoulders, a band of gold cloth crosses his torso to a red pauldron, and he wears a black kilt beneath red fabric, two-toed wooden clogs, and black gauntlets and bracelets.

Under Muramasa's control Tenken fights with silent brutality, cutting down Komamura without a word. Away from that influence he proves shy, reserved, and inclined to keep to himself, and he forms a close bond with Gonryōmaru, whom he frequently calms and fiercely guards, unable to focus on Kenpachi Zaraki until the smaller spirit is struck down. Once liberated, he stands willingly at Komamura's side.

As the spirit of a captain-class zanpakuto, Tenken commands immense red spiritual power, felling Komamura in a single blow, matching Suì-Fēng, and holding his own against an eyepatched Kenpachi. He fights with fire-wreathed bolas and a great katana, generates flames Gonryōmaru dubs the Flames of Hell, and can split the ground with a swing forceful enough to yank the 662-pound Komamura off his feet.

His Bankai, Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō, transforms him into an armored, horned giant whose heightened strength and waves of red energy obliterate Gillians outright.
