Summary

Uryū confronts Inaba, who has Kon pinned in Ichigo's body, and dodges a Byakurai with Hirenkyaku. Trading fire across the rooftops, Uryū appears to kill Inaba with a Seele Schneider through the chest, only for the corpse to be a copy; the real Inaba, who claims to outstrip even Mayuri, releases his Zanpakutō, Raikū, and drops Uryū with a single unseen strike. In Soul Society, Yoruichi joins Ichigo and Rukia and proposes charging the Senkaimon head-on, betting the Reigai can only hold the boundary briefly and that their aggression can be exploited.

The assault opens with portable Gigai decoys built by Urahara popping under Reigai-Komamura's attack, letting the real Ichigo blast a path with Getsuga Tenshō. Yoruichi stays behind to hold Reigai-Byakuya, cutting down most of the copies with Shunkō and noting they fight too recklessly compared to the originals. In Karakura Town, Orihime's shield and Sado's charge buy time against Inaba until Ichigo bursts back through the Senkaimon. Inaba finally reveals his name and his Dangai research, and Rukia realizes he is behind the entire Reigai crisis.

Ichigo pushes Inaba to draw out his last resort, and even a colossal Getsuga Tenshō is deflected upward, leaving Ichigo shaken and Inaba laughing. As Inaba loses interest and moves to finish Ichigo and Rukia, Zabimaru cuts him away and the real Gotei 13, freed from the Dangai, arrives in force. Hitsugaya spirits Nozomi off, Byakuya's Bankai drives Inaba back, and Mayuri vows retribution. Inaba retreats into the Dangai, promising that once he reclaims Nozomi he will bring both worlds under his control, and later tells his Reigai they will take her back with his invading army.
