Summary

Sado tears a hole through the Eighth Division wall with his Fullbring arm and is met by third seat Tatsufusa Enjoji, who launches a whirling flurry of blades called Hozan Kenbu. Sado ends the display with one strike to the face, flinging Tatsufusa out of sight, and reflects that Yoruichi Shihoin's training has let him fire far more blasts than his old limit. His run toward the Senzaikyu is cut short by captain Shunsui Kyoraku, whose lieutenant Nanao Ise buries him in flower petals during a comic entrance.

Shunsui would rather share a drink than fight, but Sado refuses the offered sake as an underage minor and insists on passing to reach his friends. Every energy blast Sado throws is caught, deflected, or casually dodged, and Shunsui explains that Sado's attacks draw on life force he cannot afford to spend. A single jab of two fingers, Tsukiyubi, hurls Sado across the compound.

Pressed on why he keeps fighting, Sado answers that he came to rescue Rukia Kuchiki, not for himself but because Ichigo Kurosaki wants her saved. The story turns to Mexico, where his grandfather Oscar took a beating in his place and gave him a coin, urging him to learn the purpose behind his strong body. Later, in Karakura Town, Ichigo rescued a captured Sado and proposed that the two of them fight only to protect each other. Renewing that oath in his mind, Sado charges one final blast, only for Shunsui to reappear behind him and cut him down, his treasured coin dropping to the ground.

Key Events

Sado defeats Tatsufusa Enjoji and confirms that Yoruichi's training has greatly raised his stamina with his Brazo Derecha de Gigante. Shunsui Kyoraku, revealed as the Eighth Division captain, tries to avoid combat before demonstrating an overwhelming gap in strength.

Extended flashbacks establish Sado's backstory: his birth in Okinawa, his move to Mexico, his grandfather Oscar's sacrifice, the meaning of his coin, and the pact he formed with Ichigo to only use his fists for others. In the present, Shunsui draws his twin blades and defeats Sado with a serious strike.

Notes

The clash adapts material from chapters 105 through 107 during the Soul Society arc. The anime trims several lines, such as Shinigami reacting to Tatsufusa's defeat and Shunsui listing Sado's missed attacks, while expanding the Mexico flashbacks and adding the underage-drinking exchange.

Censorship softens the fight: Tatsufusa's nose does not bleed, Ichigo lacks a nosebleed after brawling with Yokochini's men, and the deep chest wound Shunsui inflicts is shown without the manga's spray of blood. Other staging changes include Shunsui's flowery kimono flying off when he swats aside the first blast rather than staying on throughout.
