A lighthearted detour follows Kon after Yuzu adopts him as a frilly toy named Bostov. Don Kanonji recruits him and revives the Karakura Superheroes, dragging in Jinta and Ururu for absurd training. When a lovestruck centipede Hollow snatches Kon away, the ragtag team scrambles to rescue him.
In the Kurosaki Clinic, Yuzu treats Kon as her personal stuffed animal, dressing him as Bostov and stitching him a frilly skirt. Left alone, Kon plots his escape only to find his paws sewn to two other toys. He tumbles out the window just as Don Kanonji arrives, freshly benched because his ghost-hunting show has been canceled, and tries to enlist Karin for training. She rebuffs him, but the fading star spots Kon moving and talking and decides the mascot he needs for a Karakura Superheroes comeback has appeared. Kon warms to the idea once he imagines being adored by pretty schoolgirls.
Yuzu returns and cheerfully signs on as Karakura Yellow, and the trio wanders to the Urahara Shop, where a hurled trash bag and a hose blast from Ururu rope Jinta and Ururu back onto the team despite Jinta's memory of Tessai's punishment. Their notion of training is pure torture for Kon, who is balanced on a fountain spigot, launched skyward by a jet of water, and stuffed into a firework-loaded dress that goes off in his face. Fed up, Kon bolts.
Wandering the streets and pining for Rukia, Kon is suddenly plucked into the air by a huge centipede-like Hollow that carries him off in its teeth. The creature turns out to be female and smitten, meaning to take Kon home and keep him. The Karakura Superheroes track him down, and though their uncoordinated poses embarrass Kon, they mount a rescue. Because Yuzu and the others cannot see the Hollow, its talons nearly cut her down until Karin appears, drawn by a splitting headache, and hauls her sister clear.
The Hollow whips up a twister that sweeps everyone into the air. Ururu snatches Kon and tears off his limbs until only his head remains, then Jinta bats the head with his Muteki Tekkon and Karin kicks it downward, packing it with Reiryoku. Kon crashes into the ground and detonates in a burst of energy that scatters the vortex and destroys the Hollow. Kon survives, and Yuzu believes he sacrificed himself heroically. A hidden camera captured the whole thing, and Don Kanonji later parades the footage at a press conference, leaving Kon back in Yuzu's hands and dreading the next outfit.
Don Kanonji reassembles the Karakura Superheroes, adding Kon as mascot along with Yuzu, Jinta, and Ururu. A love-struck centipede Hollow abducts Kon, prompting the team's first mission. Karin joins in to save Yuzu, who cannot perceive the creature. The heroes turn Kon into a living projectile, and his energy-charged head destroys the Hollow on impact. Don Kanonji secretly films the ordeal and airs it as promotion for his comeback.
Episode fifty is a comedic standalone loosely tied to the Karakura Heroes Omake 2 side story rather than the main plot, arriving during the Soul Society rescue period. The only special weapon featured is Jinta's Muteki Tekkon, used for his Jinta Home Run. A closing preview has Don Kanonji hawking the Karakura Superheroes' services before Ichigo assures viewers the main story resumes next time.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
