The Kidō Corps forms a secretive branch of Soul Society's military built entirely around mastery of Kidō, the art of spiritual spells. Working apart from the Gotei 13, its hidden practitioners guard the barriers, seals, and gateways that hold the spirit world together.
Standing separate from the Gotei 13, the Kidō Corps is an elite arm of Soul Society's forces devoted to mastering Kidō, the discipline of spiritual incantations. It counts among the three bodies permitted to wield force in the realm, alongside the Gotei 13 and the Onmitsukidō, and its ranks are filled with seasoned spell-casters whose skill even the Gotei 13 has learned to trust. Recruits are drawn from the most gifted Kidō students at the Shin'ō Academy and honed further behind closed doors. So hidden is the group that its members, and especially its captain, are almost never seen; Jūshirō Ukitake once remarked on how rarely anyone from the Corps ever surfaced.
The Corps carries two publicly known duties: opening and tending the Senkaimon, the gateway that links the human world to Soul Society, and releasing the seal on the Sōkyoku during executions. Beyond that, its work centers on managing barriers and protective seals. Its internal hierarchy is only partly documented, topped by the Kidō Corps Commander who oversees the whole organization, the Grand Kidō Chief regarded as the single strongest practitioner of Kidō in the entire realm, and the Vice Kidō Chief serving as second in command. Fitting their covert nature, members hide their identities completely, wrapping the head in white cloth that leaves only the eyes exposed, worn over the standard black robes, sandals, and white tabi of a Shinigami.
Little of the Corps' past has been set down. Just over a century ago its leadership rested with Tessai Tsukabishi, who held the joint posts of Commander and Grand Kidō Chief, and with Hachigen Ushōda as his Vice-Kidō Chief. Their tenure ended abruptly during the Hollowfication Incident, when Tessai was condemned to imprisonment and Hachigen sentenced to death. Rather than submit, the two fled into exile in the human world, leaving the organization without any recognized head from that point onward.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
