Hojiku-Zai is a regenerative serum devised by Mayuri Kurotsuchi, captain of the Twelfth Division. Injected into a wound, the green chemical can regrow a lost limb outright, though its user pays for the recovery with sharp pain.
Rendered as the Flesh-mending Drug, Hojiku-Zai is one of the many inventions to come out of Mayuri Kurotsuchi's research. It takes the form of a green fluid that, once introduced into the body, rebuilds damaged or missing tissue. Mayuri turns to it after firing off his own arm as a grappling line, restoring the limb while grumbling about the discomfort the treatment brings.
Beyond regrowing whole limbs, the serum handles lesser injuries as well, and Mayuri has used it to patch up the likes of Uryū Ishida and Renji Abarai. The manga and anime portray the healing differently. In print the arm goes through a gradual reformation, whereas on screen it simply springs back into place aglow with spiritual energy.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
