The Nerve-Freezing Agent is one of the many toxins devised by Mayuri Kurotsuchi, captain of the 12th Division. Delivered straight into a target's nerves, it is built to kill by seizing the body from within, halting the organs those nerves control.
Function
Once the drug reaches the nerves, every organ wired to them freezes in place: eyelids stay locked open, the heart can no longer beat, and the mouth will not close. At the same time the victim's blood thickens and clots, which is enough on its own to prove fatal, and the skin darkens as the compound takes hold. Its one known weakness shows against a target whose skin is layered, since a damaged layer can simply be shed to escape the effect, exactly what Pernida Parnkgjas manages to do.
