Shrieker springs his true trap, unleashing a swarm of frog-like servants and explosive leeches that turn the fight against Rukia and Sado, until a bloodied Rukia digs in her heels and Ichigo drops out of the sky to challenge the Hollow.
Believing Shrieker beaten, Rukia tells him to await purification, but the Hollow only laughs and unleashes dozens of small servants that pin her and Sado to the ground. Sado breaks free through sheer muscle and kicks the minions off Rukia as well. When Shrieker takes flight again, Rukia proposes fusing Sado's power with her perception, having him hurl her like a projectile straight at the enemy.
Shrieker feigns surrender, then reveals a minion on his shoulder that pelts Rukia with leeches, knocking her from the air. Sado catches her, but the creatures cling fast, and Shrieker detonates the ones on her head with a vibration of his tongue, explaining that the leeches are sound-triggered bombs. He then displays a captured minion cradling Yūichi's cage, forcing Rukia to hold still to protect the boy.
Rukia runs a gauntlet of leech streams, suffering an arm ruptured by another blast, while Shrieker gloats that her bleeding flight excites him. When he sneers that she could attack rather than run, she halts and announces she will do exactly that, just as Ichigo drops onto Shrieker's head. He scolds Rukia for letting herself be bloodied after promising to take no risks, then leaps down, names himself, and challenges the cursing Hollow.
Shrieker exposes his true arsenal of minions and sound-detonated leech bombs, gravely wounding Rukia and taking Yūichi hostage. Ichigo finally reaches the battle and confronts Shrieker directly, turning the tide.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
