Eita Otoya

Otoya is a good-looking young man whose flat, cropped white hair carries a single green streak down the middle and a matching green underside. A chiseled chin sharpens his slim face, set with narrow, low-lidded eyes of the same green. His spindly, wiry limbs keep him nimble across the turf. Through the program he cycles through several kits, from Team Red's number 33 to the blue Blue Lock uniform and FC Barcha's Spanish colors during the Neo Egoist League.

An easygoing calm defines Otoya, who almost never looks rattled even in the middle of a match. He needles opponents freely and was delighted to watch Rin and Shido come to blows after their game. That relaxed streak masks real confidence: in his Third Selection tie he ordered his squad to sit back on defense and brooked no argument. Even so, he gives credit where it is due, hyping up Chigiri once the sprinter's pace caught him off guard.

His guiding philosophy is to drift with the current and never dwell on trouble, papering over anything unpleasant with something fun until it fades from mind. That outlook made him a natural partner for Tabito Karasu, the two clicking as a duo.

Otoya operates as a forward, more precisely a shadow striker who lurks near the box and pounces once play reaches the final third. His whole game is built on hunting the blind spots that open as players and the ball shift around, then arriving unseen at the perfect instant to collect a pass and finish. He can also drop into a winger's role, knitting together quick combinations with sharp movement and passing.

Speed is the engine behind it all. He darts through tight gaps with delicate, curving footwork, tilting his center of gravity to bend his runs around defenders at full tilt. Strong teammates pull attention onto themselves, and Otoya feeds on the space they vacate, threading even the natural blind spots between opposing players. Stitching the two together produces his Ninja Stealth Walk, an unpredictable weave past markers before they can react, capped by a Jumping Volley that launches him into the air to hammer the ball home with his right foot.
