Summary

Nagi and Baro bicker endlessly over the single bed, with the fastidious Baro tidying the room and earning the nickname "Maid Baro." Isagi realizes Baro lives by absolute personal rules and that this rigidity may fuel his ego and skill. Hoping to spark a chemical reaction, Isagi joins Baro's grueling solo conditioning routine, and Nagi tags along too.

Teieri reports that the Second Selection is sharpening the players' self-awareness and understanding of others, growing them into independent strikers. Buratsuta and the money-minded officials demand a star sooner, but Ego derides them for repeatedly manufacturing temporary geniuses who burn out abroad and fade into the domestic league. He argues true talent is the skill to prove one's own ability, not raw physique, and stakes his life on producing a real genius in Blue Lock.

Isagi presses Baro over lunch to reveal his ideal playstyle, but Baro insists his only rule is to win through his own goals and refuses to coordinate. Frustrated, Isagi decides he must trigger the chemical reaction himself, since Baro will not bend.

Key Events

The opposing side sets up as Kunigami, Mikage, and Chigiri, who plan a balanced formation with Mikage anchoring the middle and marking Isagi to prove himself better than him. They agree to vote on which rival to steal after the game, though Mikage privately prefers not to pick Nagi so Nagi will suffer as he has.

Isagi's trio settle their weapons as Nagi's first touch, Baro's dribbling, and Isagi's direct shot, noting their glaring lack of speed and eyeing Chigiri or Kunigami as their next member. When the White-versus-Red match starts, Kunigami cleverly marks Baro only inside his shooting zone, and Mikage helps strip the ball from the ball-hogging king. Team Red counterattack, Mikage releases Chigiri down the flank, and Chigiri's pace leaves Nagi behind to score the opener, showing a fusion that already outstrips the individual geniuses.
