The Assassin and the Ninja

The first bout of the Third Selection gets underway. Isagi is drawn onto team A1 together with Yo Hiori and Nijiro Nanase, the side anchored by the top two strikers Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shido. Their opponents are team B1, led by Tabito Karasu and Eita Otoya and rounded out by Hyoma Chigiri, Kairu Saramadara, and Kyohei Shiguma, setting the stage for the tryout's opening clash.

The rosters for the Third Selection's first match are locked in, with Isagi joining Rin and Shido's A1 against Karasu and Otoya's B1. The bonus Additional Time offers three comedic parallel-world vignettes: Isagi, Hiori, and Nanase each fetching water for one another until nine cups pile up; Chigiri failing to connect with the oddball Saramadara and the stony Shiguma; and Aryu despairing at how unglamorous his fellow Team A members turn out to be.

Airing October 12, 2024, this is the twenty-sixth episode overall and the second of the second season, part of the Third Selection Arc. It adapts chapters 97 through 100 and uses the opener Bōjaku no Charisma with the ending One. The bulk of the entry's standalone comedy lives in its Additional Time skits rather than a separate summary segment.
