Chapter 226 of Blue Lock has Baro break from Snuffy's design during an Ubers counterattack, holding onto the ball rather than shoot, then telling Snuffy he wants out after Isagi has blocked him four times.
Off Snuffy's interception, Ubers mount a counter with Niko, Lorenzo, and Aiku moving in concert. Isagi stays fixed on scoring for himself, though he grows frustrated trying to translate his mental images into a real chance.
Spotting Baro with the ball, Gagamaru sets to defend and notices extra Ubers players crowding the area to muddle his read. Isagi uses Metavision to sense the moment Baro will shoot and slides in to stop him, but Baro slips the challenge.
Baro's teammates are startled that he broke the pattern and held off shooting. He tells Snuffy that had he fired as the plan dictated, the effort would have been blocked. When Snuffy asks whether that is a problem, Baro answers that Isagi has denied him four times in this game, so he is handing in his resignation over unfair labor practices.
This is the fifth chapter of Volume 26 and the 226th overall, part of the Neo Egoist League Arc. It released in Japan on July 26, 2023. Muneyuki Kaneshiro writes the series and Yusuke Nomura provides the artwork.
In chapter 226, Baro breaks from Snuffy's game plan during an Ubers counterattack, choosing to hold the ball rather than shoot after Isagi blocks him.
Baro tells Snuffy that if he had shot as planned, Isagi's Metavision would have blocked the attempt again, so he broke from the pattern to avoid another failure.
Baro tells Snuffy he is handing in his resignation because Isagi has already denied his shots four times in the match, framing it as unfair labor practices.
Isagi uses his Metavision to sense the exact moment Baro will shoot and slides in to challenge him, but Baro manages to keep control of the ball.
The counterattack begins after Snuffy intercepts Yukimiya's cross meant for Isagi, letting Niko, Lorenzo, and Aiku move forward together.
