Kiyora's childhood is revealed as he weighs which rival to back for survival. As Isagi drives toward goal in the level match, a scramble of steals ends with Charles cutting out the final pass and feeding a fired-up Ness.
Kiyora's early life is laid out, starting before his birth, when his mother fell gravely ill while pregnant and doctors gave him a fifty percent chance of surviving delivery. As the middle of three brothers whose quarrels were constant, Jin learned that whichever sibling he backed would come out the winner.
Back in the present, Kiyora concludes that he must throw his weight behind either Isagi or Kaiser to endure inside Blue Lock. With Isagi holding the ball, he feels confident of a goal, especially now that Kaiser has ditched his link-up with Ness in his frantic hunt for a score. Isagi lays it off to Kurona to shield the ball from Kaiser, but Kurona is doubled by Tokimitsu and Nanase and loses it. Nanase comes away sensing his moment has arrived, only for Kaiser to rob him. When Chapa closes in, Kaiser lays it to Kunigami, who returns it while still shackling Shido.
Karasu and Rin descend on Kaiser at once to rob him, and as the ball pops loose overhead, Hiori collects it, feeling fortune has picked their side. Pressed by two defenders, Hiori arcs a long cross beyond Isagi to Kurona. As Isagi surges toward goal, Kurona feeds him, but Charles intercepts, asking whether Isagi is surprised, which stings because Isagi had assumed Charles no longer cared. The block spills the ball to Ness, who gathers it with aura blazing in his eyes.
Kiyora's backstory is told, leaving him to choose between siding with Kaiser or Isagi. Kurona surrenders it to Tokimitsu and Nanase, before Kaiser reclaims possession. Karasu and Rin rob Kaiser and the ball ends up with Hiori. Hiori and Kurona work it to Isagi, but Charles intercepts before he can shoot.
